Diamond Zebras sparkling over Mauritius

Botswana Under-17 Team, Diamond Zebras, stunned hosts Mauritius 1-0 in their opening game at the ongoing 2018 COSAFA Under-17 Championships. Oageng Diego  Maphorisa scored from the penalty spot in the 85th minute to sink the ship for the host.

The Diamond Zebras are second in Group A after Namibia who set top after demolishing Seychelles 8-3. Seychelles will face the Diamond Zebras in their second on Saturday at 1000hrs Botswana time.

Coach Tumi highlighted the need to win the next game if the team is to have any chance to advance to the semi-finals.

Tebogo Kopelang won the man of the match trophy after a good shift in the great shift in defence for the Diamond Zebras.

BFA to Assemble Assessment Camp

The head coach of the senior national team “The Zebras”, Didier Gomez Da Rosa, is set to assemble an assessment camp for the U22 national team from April 29 to May 1, 2024, which will take place at Lekidi Football Centre.
 
The purpose of the team is to identify potential players who will build a graduate Senior Men’s National Team besides the Olympic Under-23 Team.
