Twenty-five (25) local coaches involved with Youth Football are gathered at Lekidi for a week-long FIFA Youth Coaching Course.
The course was officially opened on Tuesday 18th December by the BFA General Secretary Mfolo Mfolo. Mfolo highlighted that the Association is looking at expanding the Elite Youth League hence the need for training the coaches. The course is run by FIFA Instructor Uric Mathiot and facilitated by Odirile “China” Matharu.
Mfolo pointed out that of the 25 attending coaches, seven are female coaches. He emphasised this as the key to improving the quality of woman football across the republic.
However, the course is not the only one running as another group of 25 coaches are being drilled for their phase 2 of CAF B Coaching Diploma which also closes on Friday.
