GABORONE: In a morning announcement, the Botswana Football Association (BFA) unveiled an ambitious fundraising initiative to secure funds for the senior women’s national team, “The Mares,” in preparation for the upcoming Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON 2024).

The BFA has officially kicked off its fundraising campaign, titled “The Mares 2.0 Campaign,” with the objective of generating a minimum of P10 million. During a press conference held today, Masego Busumane, the Head of Marketing at BFA, outlined the plan, emphasizing that the funds would be utilized for both local and international training camps.
