“I was in charge of the whole process, from the planning stage, right through to running the actual tournament itself, and the post-event evaluation,” explained Maleka.

According to Maleka, the work requires self-motivated people who are hands on, with a proactive approach. And thanks to the training he got over the years which prepared him for this. Beside all the challenges, Maleka says working on international mission is always exciting. The pressure that comes with it is always rewarding when a good plan comes together, like it did.

“And the experience I gather is for the benefit of our football in Botswana,” concluded Maleka.
