The Botswana Football Association (BFA) is proud to announce that Dr. Kagiso Tlhabano-David, a distinguished Sports Psychologist and a valued member of the BFA Safeguarding Advisory Committee, has been selected to participate in the FIFA Guardians Safeguarding Residential Workshop scheduled to take place in London from 19–22 May 2025.
This prestigious workshop, organised by FIFA, brings together safeguarding officers and experts from FIFA Member Associations (MAs) across the globe. It provides a unique platform for participants to engage in high-level discussions, hands-on training, and peer learning, all aimed at reinforcing global safeguarding frameworks in football.
Dr. Tlhabano-David’s selection is a reflection of the BFA’s steadfast commitment to promoting the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of everyone involved in the game, particularly children, young people, and vulnerable adults. Her participation underscores the Association’s proactive efforts to align with international safeguarding standards and continually enhance its institutional capacity.
During the workshop, Dr. Tlhabano-David will gain advanced knowledge on effective safeguarding strategies and have the opportunity to highlight Botswana’s progress and initiatives in creating safer football environments. Her presence will also allow the BFA to engage in valuable networking and knowledge exchange, fostering partnerships that can contribute to the growth of safeguarding efforts at both local and continental levels.
