Kgatleng Region Appreciate Safeguarding Workshop

Our recent safeguarding workshop in the Kgatleng region was a great opportunity to discuss significant steps towards safer and more inclusive football sport.
 
The association is very committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable people this past weekend, the association had an opportunity to address the coaches and administrators of the Kgatleng region on the importance of prevention through education and awareness programs, Protection by implementing robust policies and procedures, Provision of support services for those affected, and Partnership by collaborating with relevant organizations and agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to safeguarding.
 
Their dedication to the welfare of children and people who are exposed to the possibility of being attacked or harmed, either physically or emotionally was truly commendable.

BFA Leadership Attends CAF 46TH Ordinary General Assembly

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) leadership is set to participate in the 46th CAF Ordinary General Assembly on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
 
This significant event gathered officials from CAF Member Associations, zonal unions, and key figures in global football. Representing the BFA will be President Mr. Oabile Thona Tariq Babitseng, Vice President 1 Mr. Maokaneng Bontshetse, and General Secretary Mr. Mfolo Edwin Mfolo.
 
Leading up to the assembly tomorrow, zonal union meetings were scheduled for October 20-21, which will include sessions for COSAFA. These meetings will provide members with updates on the zone’s progress and achievements in various areas, including competitions, strategic planning, CAF School Sports, and administration.
 
The discussions aim to tackle ongoing challenges while celebrating notable successes, all with the goal of fostering sustainable growth in regional football.
 
The congress agenda will include critical discussions on the future of African football, followed by a press conference featuring CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe.
