GABORONE: The German Football Federation showed their support and friendship by visiting the Botswana Football Association (BFA) leadership.

Today, the General Secretary, Ms. Heike Ullrich and the Head of International Affairs, Mr. Patrick Wolf paid a courtesy visit to the BFA where among others they met the president of the BFA, Mr.  Maclean C. Letshwiti, and the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mfolo Mfolo.

Botswana U-20 Team Receives Anti-Doping Workshop Ahead Of COSAFA Qualifiers

The Botswana U-20 men’s national football team, currently in training camp at the Lekidi Football Centre, welcomed a crucial visit from anti-doping officials this afternoon. The session, organized by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), aimed to educate the young athletes about anti-doping regulations and ensure fair play in sports.

As the team gears up for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations – COSAFA Qualifiers 2024, the workshop served as an essential part of their preparation. Botswana will face Eswatini, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe in Group A of the tournament. The anti-doping session emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity and adhering to regulations, reinforcing the team’s commitment to clean competition.

This initiative underscores the importance of education in safeguarding the principles of fair play as the team prepares for the upcoming challenges.
