The Mares Crashes Out Of 2024 Paris Women’s CAF Olympic Qualifiers

GABORONE: The Botswana women’s national football team “The Mares” has been eliminated from the qualifying campaign for the 2024 Paris Women’s CAF OLYMPIC QUALIFIERS
The team failed to mount a comeback against Tanzania after losing the first leg 2-0 at the Azam Complex Stadium-Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania on October 26.
Last night at the National Stadium, our ladies lost again with a goal to NIL in the second leg, shattering our hopes of qualifying for the next round and bringing the overall score to 3-0.
The team will now shift its focus on qualifying for the TotalEnergies Women Africa Cup of Nations, where they will face Kenya in November and December 2023.


Mfolo and Mamelodi Attends COSAFA Workshop

JOHANNESBURG: Botswana Football Association (BFA) CEO, Mr Mfolo E. Mfolo and the former leading administrator on the African continent who also served as FIFA Development Officer for many years, Mr Ashford Mamelodi are currently in attending a 5 days COSAFA’s Regional General Secretaries workshop.

The workshop kickstarted on the 17th and will complete on the 21st July 2024 at Johannesburg where Regional General Secretaries of member associations will be unlocking excellence in football governance and administration.
