CAF ‘A’ Coaching Course Second Edition Begins In Jwaneng

JWANENG: The Confederation of African Football Associations (CAF) coaching license ‘A’ started on Monday, August 21, in Jwaneng.

For the second edition, 23 participants from five countries were admitted: thirteen Batswana, three Zimbabweans, four South Africans and one Namibian, who are currently completing the first phase of the course, which will take full 8 days of theory and practical’s.

FIFA’s technical Consultant, Mr. Serame Letsoaka from South Africa, is the main instructor for the course. The technical director of the Botswana Football Association, Tshepo Mphukuthi, Ditiro Motshegare and Morake Lengwadibe will work closely with Letsoaka.

Botswana U-20 Team Receives Anti-Doping Workshop Ahead Of COSAFA Qualifiers

The Botswana U-20 men’s national football team, currently in training camp at the Lekidi Football Centre, welcomed a crucial visit from anti-doping officials this afternoon. The session, organized by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), aimed to educate the young athletes about anti-doping regulations and ensure fair play in sports.

As the team gears up for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations – COSAFA Qualifiers 2024, the workshop served as an essential part of their preparation. Botswana will face Eswatini, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe in Group A of the tournament. The anti-doping session emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity and adhering to regulations, reinforcing the team’s commitment to clean competition.

This initiative underscores the importance of education in safeguarding the principles of fair play as the team prepares for the upcoming challenges.
