BOTSWANA U-17 WOMEN’S YOUTH NATIONAL TEAM IN SELECTION CAMP

The Botswana Under-17 Women’s Youth National Team will hold a selection camp from April 12-20, 2023. The Selection Camp will be run by head coach Ms. Tapaphiwa Gaebolae alongside her assistant coach. The camp will select the final squad that will represent Botswana in the upcoming Hollywoodbets COSASA U17 championship in December.

Botswana U-20 Team Receives Anti-Doping Workshop Ahead Of COSAFA Qualifiers

The Botswana U-20 men’s national football team, currently in training camp at the Lekidi Football Centre, welcomed a crucial visit from anti-doping officials this afternoon. The session, organized by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), aimed to educate the young athletes about anti-doping regulations and ensure fair play in sports.

As the team gears up for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations – COSAFA Qualifiers 2024, the workshop served as an essential part of their preparation. Botswana will face Eswatini, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe in Group A of the tournament. The anti-doping session emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity and adhering to regulations, reinforcing the team’s commitment to clean competition.

This initiative underscores the importance of education in safeguarding the principles of fair play as the team prepares for the upcoming challenges.
