Botswana Senior women national team “The Mares” head coach Gaolethoo Nkutlwisang revealed her 23 women provisional squad ahead of their Independence Day celebrations friendly match against Namibia’s Brave Gladiators on the 30th September. The game will be held at Gaborone national stadium and kickoff is scheduled for 1445hrs (CAT).

Botswana U-20 Team Receives Anti-Doping Workshop Ahead Of COSAFA Qualifiers

The Botswana U-20 men’s national football team, currently in training camp at the Lekidi Football Centre, welcomed a crucial visit from anti-doping officials this afternoon. The session, organized by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), aimed to educate the young athletes about anti-doping regulations and ensure fair play in sports.

As the team gears up for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations – COSAFA Qualifiers 2024, the workshop served as an essential part of their preparation. Botswana will face Eswatini, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe in Group A of the tournament. The anti-doping session emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity and adhering to regulations, reinforcing the team’s commitment to clean competition.

This initiative underscores the importance of education in safeguarding the principles of fair play as the team prepares for the upcoming challenges.
