It took the Bareas’ of Madagascar just 18 minutes to collect the maximum points away from home as Razanakoto Tsilavina netted at the back of Goitseone Phoko on the 18th minute to get all done and dusted.
 
โ€œThe plan was executed properly and ball retention and reaction after losing possession was patriotic even though we conceded the goalโ€, said Coach Mogomotsi Mpote at Post-match interview with the journalists.
 
The two teams will meet again in the second leg encounter on the 2nd of September at Kianja Barea Mahamasina Stadium, Madagascar.

The Mares kicked off their campaign with a thrilling encounter against the African champions South Africa, narrowly going down 3-2 in a tightly contested match. The team bounced back with a determined performance against Zambia, securing a 1-1 draw and demonstrating resilience and tactical discipline.
