More Women’s Leagues Launched

It is important for our regions to allow the girl child an opportunity to showcase their talents. As BFA, we must continue to insure that our women in every region get access to this beautiful game called football.

On Saturday, Bobonong and Selibe Phikwe regions launched the Women’s League to join the already started leagues.

The Football Association President has called on all the other regions that have not started their leagues to strive to insure they deliver leagues to their region.

The Botswana U-20 men’s national football team, currently in training camp at the Lekidi Football Centre, welcomed a crucial visit from anti-doping officials this afternoon. The session, organized by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), aimed to educate the young athletes about anti-doping regulations and ensure fair play in sports.

As the team gears up for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations – COSAFA Qualifiers 2024, the workshop served as an essential part of their preparation. Botswana will face Eswatini, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe in Group A of the tournament. The anti-doping session emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity and adhering to regulations, reinforcing the team’s commitment to clean competition.

This initiative underscores the importance of education in safeguarding the principles of fair play as the team prepares for the upcoming challenges.
