The momentum is Positive

Senior National team Caretaker Coach Mogomotsi Mpote says the Zebras’ winning momentum has a positive effect on the national team. Mpote says the team shows desire to win matches.

The Zebras won 3-1 in Victoria, Seychelles to advance to the next round of the CHAN 2020 on an aggregate score of 5-1 after winning the home leg 2-0. The Zebras showed dominance in all areas of the game as a stubborn Seychelles was broken by on form Thero Setsile who can’t stop scoring for club or country.

Seychelles opened up and forced an equalizer which meant the Zebras had to go all out to control the game. Skipper Joel Mogorosi score the second goal for the zebras and his first goal for the national team in over 2 years before Thero Setsile completed his brace late into the game. Mpote says the Zebras setup is creating a winning environment which he says is important in getting the Nation behind the team.

Zebras will return home on Monday morning to complete the league season before focus shifts to the 2019 COSAFA Cup to be staged in Durban South African with Botswana playing the host country on the 02nd June 2019.
