Financial procedure workshop for BFA structures

This communiqué serves to inform all Regional Football Associations, First Division League and National Women Football Committee that the BFA Finance Department will conduct a Financial Procedure Workshop for all BFA structures. The workshop will be held on the 04th May 2019 at Lekidi Football Centre Auditorium commencing at 0800hrs. Each Region, First Division North and South Committees and National Women Committee is expected to send two officials. (chairperson and treasurer) to the workshop.

Be further advised that BFA will provide accommodation (one night on Friday) and meals for the invited officials. The BFA will further assist with the payment of mileage (through the use of shared vehicles as will be communicated by the Finance Department) for use of personal vehicles as per the prevailing rates.

All attendees are requested to bring the following documentation:

  • Bank statement
  • Receipt books
  • Cheque requisition forms

The Botswana U-20 men’s national football team, currently in training camp at the Lekidi Football Centre, welcomed a crucial visit from anti-doping officials this afternoon. The session, organized by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), aimed to educate the young athletes about anti-doping regulations and ensure fair play in sports.

As the team gears up for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations – COSAFA Qualifiers 2024, the workshop served as an essential part of their preparation. Botswana will face Eswatini, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe in Group A of the tournament. The anti-doping session emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity and adhering to regulations, reinforcing the team’s commitment to clean competition.

This initiative underscores the importance of education in safeguarding the principles of fair play as the team prepares for the upcoming challenges.
