The Football Association would like to officially announce Mr Serame Letsoaka as the Technical Director of Botswana Football on a 3-year contract effective 1st June 2018.
Mr Serame Letsoaka comes with a wealth of expertise and experience commensurate with Botswana Football Association mainstays of Grassroots development, Youth development, Coach Education Monitoring and Evaluation. The product of these is strong national teams which will be able to compete regionally, nationally and internationally.
Mr Serame Letsoaka was appointed SAFA Instructor in 2003 after completing his DFB A License course in Germany. He was involved in various workshops and seminars to improve the coaching manuals of the Federation.
He was appointed as the Technical Director in 2009 and was able to set up the following structure Introduce and train the Grassroots coaches in all the 9 Provinces.
Mr Letsoaka is an accredited FIFA and CAF Instructor a rare of its breed in any sphere. He was appointed a FIFA Instructor in 2010. The position he still holds to date.
He was appointed to be a member of the Technical Study Group (TSG) for the U20 World Youth Championship in 2015 held in New Zealand. He was appointed a CAF Instructor in 2005 during the Meridian Cup held in Cyprus. In 2010 he became the Elite Instructor.
The technical director was appointed to a committee of experts who were drafting the Guidelines for CAF Manuals (A, B and C) together with FIFA, AFC and UEFA.
