Elite referee Mositwane urged upcoming young referees to insure that their love and dedication to football is not moved to allow them to grow in the sport of football as referees . Mositwane was speaking at the opening ceremony of the FIFA youth referees course at the Lekidi Football Center in Gaborone as the week long course begun .
Mositwane reminded the young referees that when he begun his path of refereeing many felt he should have been playing as he was an exceptional talent , how ever he chose refereeing as he believed that he could make a difference and was going to make it. The FIFA accredited referee says this was possible because of strong self esteem and discipline towards being an honest and hardworking official.
Mositwane went on to ask the young referees to avoid unfairness at all cost, either in the game or in administration of the game. He highlighted that football come with a lot of temptations to which they should never fall victim to as this could take away their integrity as individuals who officiate football matches .
Mositwane said a clean referee is a respectable referee who walks tall and proud of upholding the motto of Fairplay and has the highest level of integrity.
30 young referees who do duty in the Botswana football association Youth League and Elite youth League are gathered to be given a basic training in refereeing .
