BFA and FNBB launch partnership

Botswana Football Association and First National Bank on Thursday launched a 3-year Sponsorship worth 3 million Pula.

Speaking at the launch, FNBB CEO Steven Bogatsu highlighted that Like many of economies around the world, Botswana is grappling with youth unemployment.

“It is upon us and government to help with this unemployment, ” said Bogatsu.

He says FNBB has committed to help junior teams through the 3 years sponsorship.

This is the second initiative to sponsor youth as in June FNBB partnered with tertiary schools. Bogatsu went on to say that even though they didn’t have the budget they found it fit to look for funds to help these teams. He said their decision was inspired by the BFA’s strategic plan to improve local football.

When taking the centre stage, BFA President said Football is about partnership. It’s about human development, it’s the property of the state. To improve the sport all partner must be involved. He welcomed the commitment of FNBB as it will be a major assistance towards the junior teams.

Letshwiti highlighted that cooperate companies must continue coming to football to market themselves and to ensure the growth of sports and their different brands

BFA to Assemble Assessment Camp

The head coach of the senior national team “The Zebras”, Didier Gomez Da Rosa, is set to assemble an assessment camp for the U22 national team from April 29 to May 1, 2024, which will take place at Lekidi Football Centre.
 
The purpose of the team is to identify potential players who will build a graduate Senior Men’s National Team besides the Olympic Under-23 Team.
