Young Zebras hold Angola to a goalless draw

Young Zebras on Thursday held Angola to a goalless draw and ultimately handed Zimbabwe qualification to the semi-finals without kicking a ball. That result means that Zimbabwe is occupying the top of the table after they opened their campaign with a pair of victories and a full haul of six points.

Angola and Botswana could still qualify as the best-placed runner-up but would need to beat Zimbabwe and Lesotho in their final group games on Sunday to stand a chance. The young Zebras resilient in their display against the Angolans as they were frustrated by a Man of the Match performance from Botswana goalkeeper Thabo Motswagole, who put in a superb display with a string of excellent saves.

BFA to Assemble Assessment Camp

The head coach of the senior national team โ€œThe Zebrasโ€, Didier Gomez Da Rosa, is set to assemble an assessment camp for the U22 national team from April 29 to May 1, 2024, which will take place at Lekidi Football Centre.
 
The purpose of the team is to identify potential players who will build a graduate Senior Men’s National Team besides the Olympic Under-23 Team.
