MATEBELE RIVALRY ENDS IN PHOTO FINISH

Matebele FC showmanship today (13 May 2023) snatched them a slim 1-0 victory over Mochudi Centre Chiefs in the final game of the season and sealed the Debswana First Division South League 2022/23 season championship.

The champions finished the season with 44 points played 22 league matches, won thirteen, drawn five and lost four, scoring 34 goals and conceded nineteen. The gold medalists finished one point ahead of second and third placed VTM FC and Notwane FC respectively.

The head coach of the senior national team “The Zebras”, Didier Gomez Da Rosa, is set to assemble an assessment camp for the U22 national team from April 29 to May 1, 2024, which will take place at Lekidi Football Centre.
