𝗙𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗪𝗡: Botswana Football Association (BFA) in partnership with Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTC Botswana) on the 13th of August 2022 held 𝗚𝗜𝗥𝗟𝗦 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟-𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗦 at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium, Francistown for the girl’s between the ages of 6 and 12 years.

 

The one-day event was focused on increasing participation and teaching basic techniques to the girl child to promote the women’s game, giving the girls an opportunity to play, have fun and learn life skills through football.

 

In an interview with Motlalepula Kologwe also the chairperson of the women’s football at Francistown Regional Football Association (FRAFA) brought to light that we must acknowledge the importance of this kind of event as it is shaping the future of female football stars from tender ages.

 

She further added that she is pleased with the enthusiasm and skills of the youngsters they represented during this event.

 

“We are motivated to ensure that we continue to provide quality deliverance. Our focus is to develop and it can only be done with the support from all stakeholders such as the government, parents, coaches, volunteers and administrators.” Said Joseph Peter, one of the coaches at the event
