The International Friendly game against Uganda was called off on Saturday night. Uganda have unfortunately experienced logistical travel issues to Morocco ahead of the tournament as per schedule.

The CECAFA side only arrived late Friday night from France where they got delayed, which meant they could not arrive on time to the venue of the match.

The Mares however took to the field with Najah Sous FC a team playing their trade in the Morocco Super League.

The Mares ran out 7-0 winners as they proved too good for the home side. Botswana’s goals came from Esalenna Galekhuthe ,Balotlhanyi Johannes, Refilwe Tholakele scoring a brace, Atlang Busang and Michelle Abueng to make it 7-0.
The Mares will now face Togo in their next match on the 29th June in Marrakech, before heading to Rabat where the team will be based for the tournament.
