BFA President In Qatar

The President of the Botswana Football Association (BFA) Mr. MacLean Letshwiti is in Qatar to attend the 72nd FIFA Congress.

The President is accompanied by the BFA Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mfolo Mfolo and Vice President Mr. Masego Nchingane left on Wednesday 30th March 2022 for the Doha where the congress is being held.

At the congress, FIFA President Gianni Infantino gave an address on the state of football in 2022 and also gave a scope on the trajectory football, 2022 and beyond.

The BFA contingent whilst in Doha will also attend the FIFA 2022 World Cup draw on April 1st 2022.

The Botswana delegation is expected home on the 2nd of April 2022.

The head coach of the senior national team “The Zebras”, Didier Gomez Da Rosa, is set to assemble an assessment camp for the U22 national team from April 29 to May 1, 2024, which will take place at Lekidi Football Centre.

The purpose of the team is to identify potential players who will build a graduate Senior Men’s National Team besides the Olympic Under-23 Team.
