Botswana And Umbro announce partnership

BFA and Umbro are pleased to announce a new long-term partnership agreement.

The BFA have been making strides in the right direction to improve football within the country, as well as the performances of the National Team. Umbro and Botswana’s recent resurgence in African football makes for an exciting partnership.

Umbro will be the exclusive global technical partner of the national team, supplying the Zebras playing squad with best-in-class authentic competition, training, and off field apparel. Umbro will also supply the technical and management staff with Botswana FA branded apparel. Supporter gear will be available for Botswana fans to purchase.

The Botswana Football Association President Maclean Letshwiti said:

Botswana football is taking steps to improve the long term vision of football and hence Umbro showed great belief and trust in our ambitious future. It was only right we partner with a company that can back our plans allowing us to look and feel world-class. We have been able to secure distribution with a retail chain to ensure that fans can purchase their National Team replica jersey across the country. The bespoke jersey will be available in stores early in April 2019.”

Nkutusang names provisional squad for COSAFA

The Women’s National Team Coach Gaoletlhoo Nkutusang has named her provisional team for the 2019 COSAFA Women’s Championship. This provisional squad is based on locally based players only, with foreign-based players to be included in the final squad.

The championship will be staged in the coastal city of Port Elizabeth in South Africa for the second year running. It will run from the 31 July to 11 August 2019.

The team will report to camp on Tuesday 25th – 28th June to start intensive preparation for the tournament.
