Accountability remains cardinal to our growth – Motlogelwa

The Botswana Football Association’s Vice President Mr Marshlow P. Motlogelwa says accountability in Botswana football remains cardinal to association’s growth. Motlogelwa made the remarks today at the association’s Extra-Ordinary Annual General Assembly.

“We have to account for activities starting at the regional level. If the association gives you P35 000, and you can not account for it, how can we trust that you can look after P100, 000″, he said

Motlogelwa said that lack of accountability has killed many associations over the years.

He said he was delighted of the improvement made by Regional Football Association (RFA). Last year, 10 RFA did not submit their financials on time, this year We pushed well and this is the way forward.

Going forward he ask regions to be financially accountable as this will help BFA be financially credible. The financially credible organization always have trust from investors and are credible

Intermediate Referees Course Concludes Today

GABORONE: Botswana Football Association (BFA) through its technical department (Referees Department) held an Intermediate Referees Course closing ceremony. The course commenced on the 18th of March and ended today (22 March 2024).

A total of 37 participants from 9 regions took part in the course. The aim of the course is to bring regional referees up to the national level (first division).

The course was specifically organized for match officials from the southern and western blocks and was led by two local instructors, technical instructor Dintwa Dintwa and physical instructor Arone Masilo.

Congratulations to all the referees who successfully completed the Course!  It’s great to see the dedication and passion for football officiating in Botswana.
