This communication serves to inform all BFA structures that at its special meeting of today, Saturday 26th August 2016, the BFA National Executive Committee resolved to extend the transfer window period for all the leagues from the original date of today to Friday 9th September 2016.

The decision was taken following a special request by one of the structures, the Botswana Premier League, following a period of uncertainty towards the end of the 2015/16 league season.

BFA Affiliates and structures are however advised that this extension does not in any way apply to players seeking international clearances (to or away from Botswana). Notwithstanding, international clearances that have been processed in respect of professional players, but are still awaiting other local certificate(s) such as work permits, will enjoy this dispensation.
