The Mares Crashes Out Of 2024 Paris Women’s CAF Olympic Qualifiers

GABORONE: The Botswana women’s national football team “The Mares” has been eliminated from the qualifying campaign for the 2024 Paris Women’s CAF OLYMPIC QUALIFIERS

The team failed to mount a comeback against Tanzania after losing the first leg 2-0 at the Azam Complex Stadium-Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania on October 26.

Last night at the National Stadium, our ladies lost again with a goal to NIL in the second leg, shattering our hopes of qualifying for the next round and bringing the overall score to 3-0.

The team will now shift its focus on qualifying for the TotalEnergies Women Africa Cup of Nations, where they will face Kenya in November and December 2023.
