BFA through the Technical department held a closing ceremony for a goalkeeper coaching course that has been ongoing for the past four days in Jwaneng courtesy of Debswana Mine. In attendance was Her worship the Mayor of Jwaneng Town Hon Olga Ditsie, the BFA CEO Mr Mfolo Mfolo, Ms Letang Mbaakanyi from the office of the Town clerk amongst others.

When welcoming the guests, Her worship the Mayor of Jwaneng town Hon Ditsie closed by advising our coaches to take part in the fight against Gender Based Violence in their respective communities.

“As a woman, I have made it a personal choice that every time I’m given a chance to speak I can not leave the floor without mentioning the 16 days of activism against gender based violence…” she highlighted.

Her worship was also thrilled to notice that there were women amongst the participants, she showed her excitement by showering the ladies with ululations as they received their certificates.

22 Coaches Benefit From CAF C–Diploma Coaching Course

GABORONE: The Botswana Football Association through its Technical Department held the graduation ceremony of a Women Specific CAF C–DIPLOMA COACHING COURSE at the Lekidi Football Centre today (Thursday), November 2, 2023.

In attendance was the Vice Chairperson of the National Women’s Football Committee, Mr. Sello S. Modise, and the additional Member of the Women’s Football Committee, Ms. Peo Keatlholetswe, and the BFA Women’s Football Manager, Tsholofelo Setlhoko.

According to the course coordinator, the BFA women’s football development and grassroots instructor Ms. Barobi Nwako, brought to light, the first phase took place from September 18 to 25 this year, while the second phase began on October 23 and ended today, November 2, 2023.

The course was led by instructors Sikalame “Six” Keatlholetswe and Odirile Matlhaku.
