Botswana and South Africa meet today the 8th of December in the COSAFA U17 Girls Championship semi-final.

The girls are back for the second year running at the COSAFA Womenโ€™s Under-17 Championship and will hope to turn their silver medal from last time out into gold.

The side was a finalist in 2021 in a competition that featured only three teams, defeating Namibia 2-1 to reach the decider.

22 Coaches Benefit From CAF Cโ€“Diploma Coaching Course

GABORONE: The Botswana Football Association through its Technical Department held the graduation ceremony of a Women Specific CAF Cโ€“DIPLOMA COACHING COURSE at the Lekidi Football Centre today (Thursday), November 2, 2023.

In attendance was the Vice Chairperson of the National Womenโ€™s Football Committee, Mr. Sello S. Modise, and the additional Member of the Womenโ€™s Football Committee, Ms. Peo Keatlholetswe, and the BFA Womenโ€™s Football Manager, Tsholofelo Setlhoko.

According to the course coordinator, the BFA womenโ€™s football development and grassroots instructor Ms. Barobi Nwako, brought to light, the first phase took place from September 18 to 25 this year, while the second phase began on October 23 and ended today, November 2, 2023.

The course was led by instructors Sikalame “Six” Keatlholetswe and Odirile Matlhaku.
