The Botswana Football Association has just completed a seven (7) days Grassroots coaching course in Tsabong.
 
Eighteen participants – 11 women and 7 men – were in attendance from November 7-11, 2022.
 
Please note that due to the adverse weather conditions, the Under-12 grassroots girls festival scheduled for tomorrow (November 12) in Tsabong has been cancelled and rescheduled for November 19, 2022.

BFA Host Official Opening Ceremony Of The CAF C –Diploma Coaching Course

The Botswana Football Association held the official opening ceremony for the CAF C–DIPLOMA COACHING COURSE today, Tuesday, September 19th, 2023, at the Lekidi Football Centre Auditorium.
 
The course gathered together 22 women from all over the country, including players. The 8-day course will run from September 18th to 25th, 2023.
 
The course is conducted by CAF Instructor – Mr. Sikalame Keatlholetswe. Present at the ceremony were the CEO of the Botswana Football Association, Mr. Mfolo E. Mfolo, and the Vice Chairman of the National Women’s Football Committee, Mr. Sello Shimane Modise.
 
Giving the course overview, Keatlholetswe urged participants to complete at least 120 hours as it is requirement from the Confederation of African Football.
 
In his address, BFA Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mfolo commended the participants to not only earn the certificates rather also use the skills acquired to take women’s football to greater heights.
 
In closing, β€œHave your own dreams and goals; be inspired to achieve good and positive results. Be ready to compete with your male counterparts. You should be resilient despite all the negativities and see them as positive to improve,” said Modise
