Confederation of African Football (CAF) Pan African School Football National Phase champions Thamaga CJSS boys’ team and Mothamo CJSS girls’ team from Moiyabana trip today to Malawi for CAF PAN AFRICAN SCHOOL FOOTBALL ZONAL PHASE stage.
Thamaga CJSS boys finished first in their group matches with 7 points. The boys then moved on to the semi-finals where they faced Sekgele CJSS.
 
After 90 minutes of play, the score was tied 1-1 until it came to a penalty shootout, which the boys won by 4-2 to advance to the final, where they met Radisele, who they thrashed by a 2 goal to NIL margin.
 
However, their counterparts Mothamo CJSS girls’ team collected 6 points in their pools and advanced to the semis where they defeated Pekenene CJSS by 3 goals to NIL and met Radisele in the cup final.
 
The teams played to a 1-1 draw before going to a penalty shootout, which Mothamo CJSS won by 4-3
 
Both teams will travel to Malawi with 15 players and 3 officials each. The tournament will be held from 29 to 31 October 2022.

BFA to Assemble Assessment Camp

The head coach of the senior national team β€œThe Zebras”, Didier Gomez Da Rosa, is set to assemble an assessment camp for the U22 national team from April 29 to May 1, 2024, which will take place at Lekidi Football Centre.
 
The purpose of the team is to identify potential players who will build a graduate Senior Men’s National Team besides the Olympic Under-23 Team.
