Botswana senior women national team “the mares” hosted Namibian senior women national team in a friendly match on the 30^th September as a way of celebrating Botswana’s 56th independence.

The Mares defeated The Brave Gladiators in an Independence friendly clash at Gaborone national stadium with 2 goals to 1, goals from Gaonyadiwe Ontlametse and Nondi Mahlasela.

The champions took home a trophy and gold medals while the runners-up won themselves silver medals.

BFA to Assemble Assessment Camp

The head coach of the senior national team “The Zebras”, Didier Gomez Da Rosa, is set to assemble an assessment camp for the U22 national team from April 29 to May 1, 2024, which will take place at Lekidi Football Centre.

The purpose of the team is to identify potential players who will build a graduate Senior Men’s National Team besides the Olympic Under-23 Team.
