IMPORTANT START: Gaborone United Sports Club claimed their first win against AS VITA Club in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League at the National Stadium in Gaborone on Sunday evening (September 11, 2022).

The Money Machine beat the Congolese giants 1-0 following a brilliant goal that came in just before the half time whistle courtesy of Thero Setsile.

The second leg will be played on Sunday, September 18, at the Stade des Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Tholakele Made It to BNSC Sportswoman of the Year Nominees

The nominees for the category of the sportswoman of the year at the 43rd Botswana National Sports Commission (BNSC) have been unveiled.
 
The reigning CAF Women Champions Golden Boot and Vunani Annual Botswana Women Sports Awards winner Refilwe Tholakele is up for yet another accolade, this time at The 43rd Botswana National Sports Commission (BNSC) Awards after the sports commission announced a list of nominees on Thursday.
 
The BNSC announced that, in addition to Tholakele, two other athletes have been nominated for the award: track and field athlete Oratile Rose Nowe and karateka Lesego Masimola
 
The winner will be announced on May 18,2024 at Royal Aria Convention Centre
