Botswana Football Association (BFA) is currently running Elite Referees Assessors Course at Lekidi Football Centre, Gaborone.
 
The course commenced on Monday the 15th August and is expected to run until the 19th August 2022 with 35 participants including 7 women among them. The course is led by FIFA/CAF/COSAFA technical instructor Mr. An Yan Lim Kee Chong from Mauritius.
 
In an interview with the BFA Referees head of department, Mr. Phodiso Rasetsoga, he highlighted that the main objective of this course is to introduce new and latest concepts, such as cutting and analysing game clips, as well as evaluating referee performance.
 
He added that they are conducting this ELITE REFEREES ASSESSORS COURSE to prepare for the upcoming season in terms of application and interpretation of the Laws of the Game.
 
 

Development

Intermediate Referees Course Concludes Today

GABORONE: Botswana Football Association (BFA) through its technical department (Referees Department) held an Intermediate Referees Course closing ceremony. The course commenced on the 18th of March and ended today (22 March 2024).

A total of 37 participants from 9 regions took part in the course. The aim of the course is to bring regional referees up to the national level (first division).

The course was specifically organized for match officials from the southern and western blocks and was led by two local instructors, technical instructor Dintwa Dintwa and physical instructor Arone Masilo.

Congratulations to all the referees who successfully completed the Course!  It’s great to see the dedication and passion for football officiating in Botswana.
