In collaboration, Botswana Football Association (BFA) and Botswana Football Coaches Association on Thursday 28th July, 2022 held the closing ceremony of the BFA B LICENSE COACHING COURSE which was organized in three different phases.
 
The first phase commenced on the 9th-16th of May 2022. The second Phase of the course ran from the 6th โ€“ 12th of June 2022 and last ran from the 4th -10th of July 2022.
 
The function took place at Lekidi FootbalL Centre auditorium. The function attended by BFA Chief Executive Officer Mr Mfolo Mfolo and Technical Director Mr. Tshepo Mphukuthi the among others.
 
The participants were under the tutelage of Molefi Sexton Kowa and Tshepo Mphukuthi who are BFA accredited instructors.
 
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Molefi Sexton Kowa took this opportunity to stress the importance of them as coaches to ensure that they impart and apply the knowledge they have acquired on these training in their respective clubs. He added that coaches should take a leadership role every time as they are role models for children.
 
BFA CEO Mr. Mfolo pointed out the importance of grassroots development in his keynote address. “If we as a country ignore grassroots development, we will not achieve anything,” he said.
 
One of the participants Mr. Kitso Masi representing his colleagues, emphasized the importance these training have for the development of their theoretical and practical skills and abilities on the way forward.

Tholakele Made It to BNSC Sportswoman of the Year Nominees

The nominees for the category of the sportswoman of the year at the 43rd Botswana National Sports Commission (BNSC) have been unveiled.
 
The reigning CAF Women Champions Golden Boot and Vunani Annual Botswana Women Sports Awards winner Refilwe Tholakele is up for yet another accolade, this time at The 43rd Botswana National Sports Commission (BNSC) Awards after the sports commission announced a list of nominees on Thursday.
 
The BNSC announced that, in addition to Tholakele, two other athletes have been nominated for the award: track and field athlete Oratile Rose Nowe and karateka Lesego Masimola
 
The winner will be announced on May 18,2024 at Royal Aria Convention Centre
