Botswana senior men national team started their Hollywood Bets COSAFA 2022 Cup campaign with a fine start as they defeated Seychelles with 1 goal to NIL in their group A opening game on the 5th July 2022 at King Zwelithini Stadium.

Thato Kebue also the captain led the team to its victory as he netted the opening goal also the last for the game just few minutes into the second half on the 49th minute.

In an interview, Lebogang Ditsele also the man of the match of the day brought to light that it was very important for them to get the maximum points from their first game so that they can be much comfortable in their next game.

“The boys played very well, they executed the plans very well” said coach Mogomotsi Mpote in a post-match interview.

Botswana will play their second game on the 7th July against Comoros.
