Botswana Senior national football team โThe Maresโ have safely arrived in Morocco ahead of TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2022 from the 2nd to the 23rd July 2022.
The provisional 24 women squad and officials left for Casablanca, Morocco on the 19th June 2022.
The Mares is under the tutelage of Head Coach Gaolethoo Nkutlwisang. The Mares will set up their last preparations camp in the host country. The team is expected to play three (3) international friendlies ahead of the tournament.
Botswana will take on defending champions Nigeria alongside south Africa and Burundi in group C.
Botswana is set to play their opening game of the TotalEnergies Womenโs Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco on the 4th July against Burundi.
