National Stadium back to BTC Premiership

The Premiership will resume the use of the National Stadium with immediate effect. The stadium has been out of bounds for the Botswana Premier League (BPL) due to the branding in the stadium facilities.

The Football Association and BPL have settled the matter with Botswana National Sports Commission. The parties agreed that the stadium branding can be covered by teams using the stadium.

The teams that registered the National Stadium as their home ground will now be at liberty to use the stadium, and will subsequently be required to pay P3, 675 to conceal the existing stadium branding.

The Football Association believe this will ease the pressure of venues for the  BPL as they work towards the close of the season.

BFA to Assemble Assessment Camp

The head coach of the senior national team “The Zebras”, Didier Gomez Da Rosa, is set to assemble an assessment camp for the U22 national team from April 29 to May 1, 2024, which will take place at Lekidi Football Centre.
 
The purpose of the team is to identify potential players who will build a graduate Senior Men’s National Team besides the Olympic Under-23 Team.
