BFA Mourns Batshaakane

Botswana football has been thrown into a state of mourning following the death of former member of the BFA Youth Committee, Stella Binkie Batshaakane. She served the BFA from 2002-2009. Batshaakane passed on yesterday (March 2nd) , 2021.

A former school head at Pitikwe primary School, she was dedicated in the development of the game at both grassroots and Youth Development levels. She worked diligently with Botswana Primary Schools Sports Association, one of our stakeholders in youth development.

The BFA sends sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Batshaakane family, the football fraternity and the nation at large. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Her memorial service will be held at Pitikwe Primary School on Thursday (04,/03/2021) from 2pm – 4pm. Covid-19 protocols apply.

BFA to Assemble Assessment Camp

The head coach of the senior national team “The Zebras”, Didier Gomez Da Rosa, is set to assemble an assessment camp for the U22 national team from April 29 to May 1, 2024, which will take place at Lekidi Football Centre.
 
The purpose of the team is to identify potential players who will build a graduate Senior Men’s National Team besides the Olympic Under-23 Team.
