Youth Policy

Botswana Football Association affiliates participation in youth football and/or young player’s development shall be mandatory to all, based on Botswana National Sports Commission vision:’ SPORTS FOR ALL, FOR EXCELLENCE AND PROSPERITY notwithstanding the BFA vision which states that: ‘THE BFA TO BE A SELF SUSTAINING ORGANISATION OF EXCELLENCE’; and we can only attain excellence when we engage in a sustainable, robust, and systematic youth development programmes with clear policy to guide, protect and benefit those who take youth player development seriously.

The policy endeavour to detail guidelines that shall be used for youth training, competition, and guidance of youth football in Botswana.

BFA to Assemble Assessment Camp

The head coach of the senior national team “The Zebras”, Didier Gomez Da Rosa, is set to assemble an assessment camp for the U22 national team from April 29 to May 1, 2024, which will take place at Lekidi Football Centre.
 
The purpose of the team is to identify potential players who will build a graduate Senior Men’s National Team besides the Olympic Under-23 Team.
