Elite referees ready up for 2017/18 season

In order to ensure that there is uniform interpretation and application of the NEW amended and modifications of Laws of the Game as per the International Association Football Board (IFAB) the Botswana Football Association will conduct a course for elite referees from the 21st – 25th August 2017 in Lekidi, Gaborone.

The participants are referees who are officiating in the National League. The course will be facilitated by BFA/FUTURO III Instructors Col Mmonwagothe Senai and Mrs Sebaetseng Glenda Mokokwe.

Col Mmonwagothe Senai believes this courses are critical in shaping up referees to be up to date with the recent development to the new laws or improvement to the laws of the game.

Intermediate Referees Course Concludes Today

GABORONE: Botswana Football Association (BFA) through its technical department (Referees Department) held an Intermediate Referees Course closing ceremony. The course commenced on the 18th of March and ended today (22 March 2024).

A total of 37 participants from 9 regions took part in the course. The aim of the course is to bring regional referees up to the national level (first division).

The course was specifically organized for match officials from the southern and western blocks and was led by two local instructors, technical instructor Dintwa Dintwa and physical instructor Arone Masilo.

Congratulations to all the referees who successfully completed the Course!  It’s great to see the dedication and passion for football officiating in Botswana.
