The Eastern Block came well prepared for the Inter Block games held in Gaborone over the weekend. They dominated the youth competitions and four (4) trophies out of the possible sic (6).
Selebi Phikwe Regional chairman Barulaganyi Moloi, who is also head of the Eastern Block, said their was to give experience to their players.
“Many of our students come from Centers of Excellence, and these was a good opportunity to give them time on the field, ” explained Mr Moloi.
According to BFA PRO, Tumo Mpatane, the relationship between Schools and Youth League is a combination that will take the country forward.
“This project is a sign that we need to develop in certain area of our game from the development sight. Football in Botswana is now taking a better shape, ” said Mr Tumo.
Mr Mpatane said he saw a lot of talented defenders and extremely good goal keepers, hence the low number of goals experienced in the competition.
